The
Municipality of Storo is one of the most important and populated in the Valli Giudicarie. It lies a few kilometres away from
Lake Idro, where the Chiese Valley opens up.
The picturesque historic centre with its narrow alleys and squares provides a wonderful step back in time. Storo is popular for
its prime yellow flour, also known as “
oro di Storo”, the gold of Storo. The flour is produced by the local farmers and used to make the typical dish of the Valle del Chiese: the polenta, a corn meal served in five different tasty ways.
Storo and its neighbouring villages (Lodrone, Darzo and Riccomassimo) are surrounded by beautiful mountains, which are the ideal place for long hikes and walks.
