The Giudicarie is a territory that develops in western Trentino and stretches around the Brenta Dolomites from Lake Idro to Madonna di Campiglio and from Lake Molveno to Comano Terme in the external Giudicarie to Ballino, the gateway to Lake Garda. The Valle del Chiese with its municipalities covers 435 km2 of the Giudicarie, almost half of the entire territory. This vast area of Trentino undeniably offers many attractions to be discovered.

Many activities for sport lovers!

The richness of water in the many valleys, flanked by a hundred or so lakes and alpine ponds, make the Giudicarie a real fishing paradise in Trentino. But that's not all, the vast territory of the Giudicarie also offers everything you need to practice the most adventurous and adrenaline-packed sports:

there are many MTB routes that unwind along the mountain meadows, woods and pastures, along beautiful forest roads and historic mule tracks dating back to the First World War, as in the case of the Giro dell'Orizzonte. You can also enjoy via ferratas and rock climbing.

But we must not forget other sports such as ski mountaineering or canyoning and, in particular, trekking excursions, with a variety of itineraries through nature among the huts and wild mountains of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park. By the way, we cannot fail to mention the Val di Fumo, the wonderful alpine valley that opens up at the foot of the Carè Alto, defined by many as Canada in Trentino.

Discover all outdoor activities!

…but also relaxing activities for families!

The Giudicarie are, however, also perfect for families: there are many cycle paths and places to relax, perhaps tasting the typical products of the area as for instance the Spressa delle Giudicarie. For the grown-ups, it is also possible to enjoy the many cultural proposals that only the Giudicarie can offer: from the signs left by the Great War to the many castles and the rural traditions typical of these valleys that form a true ecomuseum.
